Biography: It was a very hot and very dreary August evening in 2004 when the young and ailing vagabond Chris Worthington awoke to find himself surrounded by a gaggle of paperbacks strewn about the entrance of his cardboard fort at the end of a dark and damp alleyway. "What good will these cursed books serve me, aside from a brief fireside," wailed the young lad. Moments later, Chris' mouth was watering in anticipation of preparing his first cooked meal in weeks as he began stoking the growing fire, tossing one novel in at a time. He froze, however, as he found one particular book in the palm of his hand: So, You Want To Direct? Then Cease Being a Vagrant, Make Something of Yourself, and Do It! The peculiar and awkwardly lengthy title of this how-to pamphlet stirred a strange and passionate feeling in the back of Chris' mind, for he had always secretly desired nothing more than to direct short films and with a camera in one hand and a small bag of jellybeans in the other. It was at that moment Chris gathered his small collection of possessions, broke down his beloved cardboard fort, and left that infested alleyway for the last time. As the luminescent moon rose on the first night of his journey, Chris found himself yearning for a seafood dinner worthy of a swashbuckling swabbie, so he slipped into the backdoor of the ritziest lobster shack on the eastern seaboard. Was it by chance then that he should happen to sit in a booth directly across from the most fierce (and eccentric) buccaneer to set sail on the modern seas, none other than Captain Jordan Justice. As Capt. Justice and Chris talked over buttery slabs of lobster, the good captain offered the wanna-be director a pirated film camera he happened to have aboard his vessel in exchange for a month's worth of labor and lobster-netting in the northern Atlantic. Soon after Chris shook Capt. Justice's hook, he found himself on the S.S. Chameleon rolling on the waves. One blustery afternoon, Capt. Justice revealed to Chris that, even though he rather enjoyed the lavish lifestyle of pirating on the high seas, he had always wanted to be an actor of great standing. So, of course, Chris offered Jordan a role in many of his soon-to-be-made films. Upon this agreement, all was grand! However, the sea was angry that day, as demonstrated by the spontaneous hurricane that overtook the ship, spiraling it like a mere dinghy toward the shores of Western Europe. Our heroes found themselves shipwrecked on the rocky beaches of France, with only Chris' new film camera and Capt. Justice's frilly pirate hat in tact. They continued their trek towards northern territories until they reached the magnificent city of Paris. It was there, in the blinding orbs of light by night, that they found a young struggling writer by the name of Annabella Schmoker writing a novel about the properties of bubblegum on a river walk café on the Seine. She offered them room and board in her small and cozy Paris flat for one price: a role in Chris' films as a featured writer. With a hardy "Arg," Capt. Justice agreed fully with the bargain, so it was quickly a done deal. With an eccentric director, a zany pirate writer and actor, and a quirky actress all in order, they finally began producing movies! Chris' first film project was a full-length documentary on the new trio rebuilding Jordan's pirate ship and their returning journey back across the Atlantic, stateside. Sadly, this documentary has been long lost in the bowels of time, but the trio troupe of film bandits continued to make more and more short films, documentaries, music videos, and sketches. Now, many years later, the trio, along with many others, still makes films today for you to enjoy.
