tx: 8th April 1995. Gene's TV debut (kind of; the other track from the session - which I don't have - was broadcast a few days earlier, but this was definitely recorded at the same time.) The lighting in this clip - with tall shadows of the singer cast either side of the stage - reminds me a lot of Nick Cave, who tends to use this set-up in live performance a lot.
