When Thou pain strikes weary soul When desolate worlds take endless toll When ships at port face tumultuous sea There is eternal love of family When unkind world shall turn away When darkened souls shall steal the day When winds of change bring coldest breeze The ones who love you shall calm your seas When Heaven and Earth in mortal clash When storms of hate fill air with ash When unkind change breeds deadened souls Your gentle spirit makes family whole As angels dance upon this night As Heaven sings in Heaven's light While shadows steal this world away Your precious soul brings light this day When despairing soldiers find their gait When a troubled world breeds wings of hate At this place where goodness springs Gathering angels come to sing Guide the ones who lose their way Guide those souls from dismal day Your blinding path, tread over pain Take hands of those so early slain As angelic legions take to land Take faith in a natural right to stand Upon wings of strength take those to flight From harrowed fields and dismal night When unspoiled swords will turn to rust And ancient hatreds turn to dust Souls of truth shall guild the way The peace you brought will light that day When at night I close mine eyes And lift my head to starlit skies To know one angel, one star above In strands of light you send your love
