Ran a 2000 pontiac grand prix gtp for the first time at the track. mods are 3.4" zzp mps SC pulley, zzp PCM, ngk plugs, zzp 304 stainless steel 3 inch DP, zzp Power Log, 160 hypertech Tstat, and K&N FWI. ran a constant 14.3 on an 85 degree night. plus i found out that my brother didn't air down the damn tires like i asked him to. they should be at 25-28 psi and i was running them at 34. i kept burning out at second and third. i def need to throw in some headers for sure. (oh yeah, i'm on the left lane. plus my kid bro was filming; bad timing by his part)

Aug 3, 2008 - how much money did it take to get to where youre at
arre420 Says:
Aug 4, 2008 - not much, 350-400 as far as i can remember. even less if you can find someone selling the mods used. easy install on them too. not bad for an easy high 13 second car if you ask me

Aug 28, 2008 - You practically have all the exact same mods that i have except for the 3.4" pulley and the ZZP PLOG. Except i have a 180* tstat, Wizaired Intake, and a 2.5" DP and i ran a crappy 15.03 on a hot and humid night about a month ago. I cant wait to get a 3.4" pulley and that PLOG, cause right now im running too rich at WOT due to the PCM tune and it slowed me down believe it or not. Nice run though!

Aug 28, 2008 - yeah. i hear ya. humidity and heat are an m90's nightmare. but the PLOG and DP setup kicks ass. it really lets you know what gtp's are made of. i just got headers installed so i'm getting rid of the PLOG and 3in DP, so i hope on trapping a higher speed now.

Aug 29, 2008 - Does a PLOG really make that much of a difference in the feel of the car? I already have a 2.5" DP, i didn't opt for 3" cause i wont be going further than a 3.4" pulley so a 3" DP was not recommended for the price difference and no power gains. But does the front PLOG really work that great?
arre420 Says:
Aug 29, 2008 - if you want to run a 3.4 then YES. ANYONE would tell you that. the stock front header is crap. too narrow. if i can find mine i can show you the difference. it really wakes the car up with the stock pulley and can even help you increase timing.
JohnnyV84 Says:
Aug 29, 2008 - Well i know that you definitely need it for a 3.4" pulley to help open up the exhaust flow so you dont get as much boost stacking, but i didn't know that it really wakes the car up THAT much (especially on a stock pulley as you say)
JohnnyV84 Says:
Sep 19, 2008 - Well i picked up my 3.4" pulley, just awaiting my ZZP PLOG. Have you had your car scanned at all since you got the 3.4" pulley? any KR at all that your seeing? Right now i got 0KR but im expecting to see some after the install, although hopefully i dont.
arre420 Says:
Sep 23, 2008 - if you have some KR at all the PLOG would get rid of it. if you DON'T have any then you're still good. hell you may even advance a bit of timing for more power. i never scanned my car but the combination of mods i have are safe enough to not grenade my engine and produce more power. i'm all about safe modding

Sep 23, 2008 - *UPDATE* i just broke into the 13's with the same mods, but with headers instead of the PLOG and DP combo WHOOO!! i wish i had the video though : ( oh well. i'll just film another run at HRP soon
