A U.S. District Judge has ruled that Google must turn over all YouTube users video viewing history and IP addresses to the fascists at telecom giant, Viacom. Link: http://news.cnet.com/i/ne/p/2008/viacom_youtube.PDF This video addresses my displeasure at this ruling.

Jul 5, 2008 - Yes, you are so right! Everywhere on the globe the people who think they own the world or represent us are terribly afraid of us. So clamp down on the masses of human fodder. Doesn't matter what. Cartoons not liked by Muslims. OK. Arrest Gregorius Nekschot in the Netherlands. The EU wants to record all fingerprints of the EU-citizens from 6 years on. EU = EUSSR. The list goes on! Ave, Evocatus

Jul 8, 2008 - They rely on our ignorance to keep bullying and controlling. Talk up & stand up before its too late. They are nothing without us so don't be mislead into thinking that we have no powers. The rules they put into place is dependant on us following them so please understand the power that we have as people!

Jul 8, 2008 - Someone create a utube alternative fast. And lets all inform each other! Like the vid said its time for us to stand up to the fucking controlling bullies trying to take our freedom away: Government, Religion, media, the legal system, the bank cartels and so on. They are all part of the same system to control the masses.

Jul 9, 2008 - Maybe you shouldn't use youtube or google video. It belongs to them and while I agree that 'privacy matters' you're dumb if you think anything on the public net is private at all. If you want private, go dark. And there are already plenty of youtube alternatives, some hosted in 'pirate' zones like Russia where you can upload copyrighted stuff all you want. Just don't expect privacy on the public net.

massspectrician Says:

Jul 10, 2008 - Yeah. A boycott might be in order but not for those reasons so much. I actually think copyrights are fine things to protect and honor. As far as privacy is concerned, this kind of things just is unsettling in the midst of other things that are happening in our legal system.

Jul 10, 2008 - I think this might be a little blunt and could use some retooling for eloquence. I can be a touch reactionary.

opaloka Says:

Jul 11, 2008 - Well I share your concerns about privacy, I just think we can forget about it on the net especially where Google is concerned. People seem fine with losing privacy as long as they get their entertainment/infotainment, especizally if it's free. Blunt is fine, I'm pretty frustrated myself about privacy concerns esp. in light of the recent legislation protecting companies who help the govt. spy on us. I think also I get tired of all the blindly anti-IP stuff and lumped you in w/ that, sorry.

Jul 19, 2008 - Quit trolling my channel.

massspectrician Says:

Jul 25, 2008 - I am actually opposed to dragnetting IPs since it violates the privacy rights of those individuals who have static IP addresses. If you want to legally host your own web page without going through a 3rd party you need to have a static IP address. This is a minority of the internet-user population, but their rights are important, too.

Jul 26, 2008 - I was surprised at how many people immediately responded to this ruling. I thought I would be alone. Its nice to see support from more popular people.

massspectrician Says:

Aug 1, 2008 - I tried to retie this to your Viacom vs. You video but it strangely doesn't turn up in the list when I try to choose a video. Something is fishy.

massspectrician Says:

Aug 1, 2008 - Okay, I see what happened -- it thought it was still linked.
