Joe put down the phone, and slumped into the chair that thankfully happened to be next to him. He put his head in his hands. What Rachel had told him was not good news. Not good news at all. Well, actually, the whole Matt and Rebecca thing might have been good news, but the other thing, the Ellie thing. Joe hit the table in frustration. Why couldn't he be there for them? He was stuck in America doing a tour, when he could be there helping out the girls who were practically his sisters! "What's up?" Nick asked, eyeing his brother as he walked from the bus kitchen to the table and sat down next to his brother. Kevin followed closely behind. "Something up with you and Rachel?" Kevin asked, worried. Joe felt Kevin's eyes studying him. "NO!" Joe said, hoping his tone would push away Kevin's gaze. It did. "So then what's up?" Nick asked, tilting his head to one side. "We know something is up, so you'd better tell us." "How do you know something's up?" "Well the loud bang of a fist to the table and a few swear words were kind of the tip off." Kevin said shrugging. Joe stared at his brothers. How could he tell them? He looked over at Nick and Kevin. Both pieces of news would upset them. He knew it would. But he couldn't hide it forever. Joe sat deep in thought, before being jolted out by Kevin's elbow. "TEEELLL USSSSS," Nick said, putting on an alien accent. "Or we will prooooobe yoooooou." Kevin added, imitating Nick's impression. Joe smiled at his brothers. They were so unaware and it was almost a comfort. But the smile was replaced quickly by a frown. He had to tell them. "There's been a crisis back home." He said simply, looking down, not being able to meet his brother's eyes. His brothers remained silent. "You gonna tell us or make us guess?" Kevin asked, worry coating his voice. Joe looked up. "There's bad news -- or good news, depending how you look at it," he said glancing at Kevin. "And there's really bad news." Nick and Kevin shifted uncomfortably. "So basically..." Joe was cut off by his phone ringing. It was Rachel. Relieved Joe motioned to the phone and answered it.
