A 1978 track from one of the earliest incarnations of The Fall (on a disc with the classics Psycho Mafia & Repetition, I believe). This is as close to pop-punk that the band got and Mark E Smith's voice sounds great against the cheap synth and banging drum..... Imagery courtesy of the British free cinema movement which combined drama, documentary, neo-realism and new wave to great effect. Here a gang of feral children run wild in rubble, with not a CSO, hoodie or ASBO in sight.

Aug 16, 2008 - Thanks. Great image in my head of a young wayward Smith, causing havoc with his motley gang!
