May 20, 2008 - i kinda figured that, it does start up nicely its just that the thing sucks oil down like crazy, hopefully the engine i have lined up for replacing it runs fine, its an engine that my grandfather has had for a while and doesn't use so i don't know if it would work but if i do do that i will probilly make a vid of that

Aug 1, 2008 - my yard machines is two years old, and it has a 6.75 hp briggs on it. Its very weird because its a four stroke, but when i start it after its been sitting for a week or so, it puffs out white, then stalls. i checked the oil and it is pretty new, i started it again and it puffed out blue, sputtered and ran very strong but it was literally shooting out blue smoke.can any of you help me? (i think i have bad piston rings too.)

Aug 15, 2008 - I had an Ariens lawn tractor with a 10hp briggs from 1981, that smoked blue because the carb was adjusted wrong. I adjusted the carb while it was running and when the carb was adjusted just right, it stopped smoking and didn't smoke after that!

Oct 4, 2008 - I would bet @ one time it was ceased and then un-ceased and the rings are shot .I had a 7 HP do the same thing to me . I rebuilt motor and its still here today .
