This is PURE NYC's video submission for Kaeshi's 30 Second Challenge. It's very easy to remember and consists of three steps borrowed from American Tribal Style: The Camel, The Egyptian Basic, and The Turkish with A Spiral Arm variation. It can easily adapt for any number of dancers ranging from pairs to very large groups by creating multiple circles. "Tribal Carousel" was choreographed and directed by Marya for PURE NYC. The notes for this choreography are as follows: OPENING TRANSITION INTO FORMATION: Camel Walk (2 times) -All dancers form one large circle and Camel Walk in place for 1 count of 8 -Camel Walk for 1 count of 8 as even or odd line steps in with R foot to lunge with L leg extended and toes pointed, upper body leaning R, snake arms R then L. Opposite line remains in place. INSIDE CIRCLE: -Tribal Egyptian Basic for 3 counts, pivot on left foot and 1/2 turn to face opposite direction on 4th count. Repeat for opposite direction. Repeat 3 times. OUTSIDE CIRCLE: -Beginning with R foot crossing over L, Turkish Step (grapevine) to L with arms at chest level for 3 counts; on 4th count, Spiral Arms with R arm in front of body, 1/2 pencil turn with feet together to opposite side (facing in). Repeat 3 times. This cookie can be finished in two ways: -Inner circle finishes facing in and outer circle faces out. OR -Extend to fill more time by using the Camel Walk as a transition for the outer and inner circles to trade places. Leaders can then peel through centre with Snake Arms and form lines.
