So i am showing you the beginning process of my 3d wall sculpture inspired by Michael De Meng's work. Laying the bones is a term i use to describe the basic initial body of the work.

Frustrations and challenges are both the bane and friend of artists, squeezing the creativity out of us even if only in the form of superlative cursing! LOL I hope the cows aren't sensitive to such things. LOL And serendipity seems to fit with your style. I am so looking forward to watching the evolution of this project. Thanks for sharing.

Aug 21, 2008 - You're off to a great start, but you need to get yourself some clamps! The clamps will hold things in place for you and leave your hands free.

Aug 21, 2008 - What a cool clock. Great start on it! You know how much I love your lil clay faces, it'll be hot to put it inside the top cube where the clocks face used to be but inside maybe lit up like Father Time imprisoned in his own clock. hehe I just love those lil clay guys ;) You always get my imagination going, watching your work is inspiring! Thank you for that!

Aug 21, 2008 - it's great Gary - I LOVE old clocks. They are a obsession of mine with the camera. When I was a kid I used to pull them apart all the time. I still have a bag of watch parts. Mum & Dad were NOT impressed. There was an angle there with the light glowing behind the piece and you could see it though the front opening. That was rather cool.

Aug 23, 2008 - yeah, clamps. And a glue gun can hold things temporarily while you decide where you want to drill. VERY FUN!
