This was originally a paper I did for my World Religions course at Lethbridge College. After observing certain individuals in life and just simply speaking to them on the internet, those claim to be Atheist. I put together 10 common things that most of them usually struggle with or signs they show through their over generalizations and angry rants. This may be hitting right at home for those who are Atheist, but only they know what I say in this video is true. Enjoy... #91 - Most Discussed (Today) - People & Blogs - Canada References Leick, Gwendolyn: A Dictionary of Ancient Near Eastern Mythology (NY: Routledge, 1998), p. 7 The Bible (Old Testament) Genesis 5:4 http://www.braquedubourbonnais.info/en/inbreeding-calculation.htm http://barshlab.stanford.edu/Publications/SkinColorPLoS.pdf http://www.lloydpye.com/ http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_gives_your_skin_its_color http://www.archaeologynews.org/link.asp?ID=101766&Title=The%20Fraud%20of%20Evolution http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=23532 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2850369?dopt=Abstract http://www.canada.com/topics/technology/story.html?id=16a1012d-bf97-40b4-a9b0-020a8e4f10de&k=3124 http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2007-09-03-dna-differences_N.htm http://www.csrees.usda.gov/nea/animals/pdfs/porcine_genome.pdf http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/07/070722095541.htm

Jul 19, 2008 - Number 2 - SPOT ON! Now we are getting somewhere. Evidence and science does make people think differently, congratulations.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - Now all you have to do is show me is this "missing link"...though it still wouldn't matter to me, since nothing comes out of randomness either...since that is "science".
the1replier Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - Sorry but when you use a reference that says this "Evolution is the belief that life spontaneously erupted from non-living chemicals" then you are getting bad data to start with.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - That's the belief among of those Atheist who believe that's the way it all started...just referencing them. lol
mtambors Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - Correction on 2: evolution explains the diversity of life, not the beginning. And the Big Bang has nothing to do with evolution. The genetic similarity to pigs is a lie. The species closest to us genetically is the Bonobo chimpanzee, which are apes. But you are correct, evolution doesn't necessarily disprove a god, just that the bible is not accurate or literal.
leninlikersclone Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - That's another problem with organised religion. In the words of Richard Dawkins; "I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world." The brilliant thing about science is that we have so much left to cover. Scientists still haven't figure out advanced alchemy, and we have the rest of the Universe still to get through. To say that a god created the Universe and everything in it is so blatantly closed minded.
omglaserpewpewpew Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - I respect your view though I don't share it. The bible to me is bogus but I have a lot of friends who are religious and believe in god. We get along and resepect each others opinions and believes. I enjoyed your video :).
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - And to say God didn't and everything came from a explosion is pretty much closed minded as well and Richard Dawkins lives off his ego, yet he can't prove everything he dishes out either. I see nothing brilliant about Science, since it makes it easier to kill not millions, but billions of people easier than European Religion has. You can have both, Religion as long as it supports spiritual growth and Science can be used for good knowledge.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Oh yeah, if we did branch off or were even close to the Bonobo Chimpanzee, what happened to all that strength as I mentioned in the video. Doesn't seem like Evolution to me...rather devolution there and that can't be right? The Bible is from Jewish culture, it doesn't speak for the entire world, just their views on life and God.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - If we were so "identical" to the Bonobo Chimpanzee, why are the scientist using Pig organs in transplants? Why not the monkeys? Apes? Chimps? Doesn't make sense to me, since they are so "identical" to us. Check the description box for the references.
mtambors Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Perhaps you need to read your sources a little more carefully. The article I presume you are talking about is about organ transplants. It says nothing about the pigs being the most genetically similar. Ironically, your USA Today source does talk about the similarity of chimps and humans (~95%). I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time and assume it was an honest mistake.
mtambors Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Evolution does not work that way. There is no such thing as a trait that is universally more favorable. It is all about adaptability to the environment. Now tell me, which would you prefer if you needed to survive in a changing environment, brute strength or a keen intellect?
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - But why not use the use the Bonobo Chimpanzee and the others then? No so identical as I said. The environment is the cause for people to adapt in the first place. That depends on the person and it would be keen intellect. That's nothing new there.
mtambors Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - The Big Bang was not an explosion. And how does it make it easier to kill billions of people?
mtambors Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Then why is it a suprise that even though humans are not as strong as chimps or our common ancestor, they are much more intelligent?
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Intelligent? There are many different types of "intelligence's in the world, even animals express that. Nothing new here you're telling me...still why don't we have their strength since we "came from them"? Seems like its bull shit too me, in regards to "coming from monkeys". Though in the video, I did say they we were related to them as cousins...in the mammal family.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - What was the Big Bang then? Science has nuclear weapons, enhanced weaponry that can kill millions, and even billions of people. Jeez, I thought that would be obvious...surely does the job than using swords, axes, and spears.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Are we not close to a pig genetically? If that was the case, since the organs are similar, why not use the monkeys organs then? Hey, if it's a mistake I made, I admit it too, about pigs being genetically close. Check that link out one more time under the USA Today. But even sciences shows you, Monkeys aren't so close as they use to think they were. Scientist even make mistakes too...they even believed at one time that babies in the fetus stage had hooves and gills. lol
Menestheus Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - The big bang was the moment that the singularity expanded.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - So why is it called the "Big Bang" if the singularity expanded, being an explosion now?
mtambors Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - 1. We did not come from monkeys as we know them today. We share a common ancestor. This is a big difference. We can debate all you would like about intelligence, although I assure you I do have somewhat of an upper hand in that topic. Why do we need to have the same strength ratio? If shared all the same traits, then we would be no different from other primates!
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - I could be immature here and just let everyone know whose reading these comments that I was going to originally post that comment you left about Alcohol not being a cause of ADD/ADHD...but I sent ya that link and it changed your mind pretty quick, huh? Yeah, "I have the upper hand"...ooooooo. Seriously...lol
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - You can believe you have the upper hand, but if we have this common ancestor, humans got the shit end of the deal with the lack of strength compared to the monkeys, chimps, on and on and on...there are many different types of Intelligences and some scientist or Atheist living off of just, over generalizations isn't providing any thing "intelligent". A dolphin is a mammal as we all know, and where is our blow hole at? Not the same after all...a little different apparently.
willywill3 Says:
Jul 20, 2008 - Some one who is "book smart" can't open a window...yes, really intelligent there...it's kind of nice to have both.
