Our work was that of the opening of the Dunavec canal. When the convicts would arrive at the site of work, they were assigned the work they had to do. Every one of us had to fulfill the norm of S.aO cms. of digging and transportation of the earth. We worked in mud and water. Many of us were assigned to carry wet masses of earth and lay them along the canal edges (banks). The work was done under the supervision of the camp director,
