Part 1 Summary: Todd and Marty sit on the grass, enjoying a gourmet picnic spread. Todd says Starr's baby will be here soon, so they need to get serious about moving away and starting over, but Marty points to his left hand, saying he can't start a new life with her while wearing his wedding ring. Meanwhile, John's convinced that Marty is the mysterious woman recuperating in Todd's house. He goes to visit Michael, who's saying goodbye to a patient at the morgue. John asks Michael if the mysterious X-rays he asked him to look at could be from a van explosion. Michael says more like a van rolling off a cliff and a person crawling out before the van exploded -- which is exactly what happened to Marty! John confesses that he thinks Marty's alive, theorizing that Ramsey could've saved her. Nursing her back to health would've helped him get reinstated by the FBI. Michael is dubious, but he plays along. If Marty's alive, would she and John pick up where they left off? Now that John's involved with Blair? John doesn't really have an answer, but he does call an old FBI buddy and asks him to dig up dirt on Janet and Keys (Todd's old bodyguard). At La Boulaie, Blair tells Addie that John's her friend. Addie laughs; she tells her daughter to take a chance and tell John how she feels, which encourages Blair to show up at John's door with flowers. Dorian's determined to hang onto both B.E. (or Cramer Enterprises, as she calls it) AND Langston -- so she calls Jackie McNaughton to do some dirty work for her. She doesn't say exactly what kind of work, but she does give Jackie an envelope and asks him to take care of Ray for her. Jackie smirks; he's on it, but there's no turning back once he accepts. Dorian doesn't care; she calls Clint and tells him she won't be taking his offer. At the police station, Nora questions Ray, showing him a photo of Cristian. Ray has no idea who Cristian is but does feel bad that Cristian had to wear his old prison jumpsuit. Antonio and Talia do some digging and learn that Ray was on the same flight to Llanview as Jared. Ray admits he's working with Clint, but it's all legal. Nora lets Ray make his one phone call, and she isn't surprised when Ray says Clint wants to talk to her. Clint's furious with Nora, but she's equally angry with him. She tells Clint that Ray showed up in Llanview the same time Cristian disappeared, and if Clint doesn't like her investigating, then he shouldn't date the DA. In Plato, Colombia, Cristian, Vanessa, and Lola get ready to leave for America, but they're stymied by a sudden tropical storm. Lola asks Cristian what the United States is like; she's only ever lived in Colombia. At Llanview High, the kids try to stay positive, hoping Dorian will find a way to keep Langston.
