Oct 5, 2008 - How would this conflict with Ephesians 2:8-10 which teaches that you are saved by SOLA GRATIA? There is no shred or taste of sola fidean theology in the Bible, much less in Ephesians 2:8-10 which doesn't even come close in the Greek to having a slant towards Faith Alone being advocated. GOD BLESS

Oct 5, 2008 - It isn't so much as someone didn't accept Christ (in the sense of those who willfully REJECT Christ), but rather in the sense of those who do not know of Christ and yet do His Will nonetheless (see Rom 2:14-16). Consider the mystery of the parable of the Good Samaritan. He was born outside of the Covenant. And yet he did what God required because he responded to the grace given to all men. We are told to imitate the Samaritan even though he did not "accept" formal entry into the Covenant.

Oct 11, 2008 - There is TONS of evidence for Sola Fide in the bible!! Of course, there is no evidence for the caricature of the doctrine often posited by Roman Catholics ;) two weeks have come and gone sir William....I'm beginning to think I've already won the debate with my opening statement
