This beautiful gerbil family was brought to Shelter just as Momma was about to have another litter of little ones. By August, the babies will be weaned so they will all be available for adoption in same-sex groups of 2 or 3. Here's what their foster Mom wanted you to know about them: Clover (Mom) is a super curious gerbil, always ready to investigate. She is fun to foster for sure. Her babies are the cutest little things ever. There are four boys and three girls. They get bigger every day. Now they are eating out of the dish and drinking from the water bottle. They are very soft, like little pieces of velvet. It's very entertaining watching all the pups play fight and wrestle. It was a shame really that Road Runner (dad) had to be separated from the pups because he was a superb dad. He rarely left the nest, even less than Clover. But in a few weeks Road Runner will get reunited with two of his baby boys! Now on his own, Road Runner has proven his name. He never stops on his wheel. It is fun watching him really cut lose on that thing! For more information about adopting these gerbils, email the Shelter at: www.peihumanesociety.com or phone: (902) 892-1190 during regular business hours.
