Documentary series of 10 parts "Heroes of Vukovar," through the story of fighters from the first line of defense, describes the Battle of Vukovar. We will see how defense of the city's main parts were organized, Borovo naselje, in which is the famous Trpinjska road. All the defending postions Borovo Naselje are shown through the struggles and acts of people who were defending the city, and thus also of Croatia. The documentary is recorded on authentic locations in Vukovar and Borovo Naselje, as well as in other cities of Croatia and abroad, where defenders of Vukovar now live. We will see plenty more never seen before recordings, from different sources. How was defense organized? How did they experience first contact with tanks? Who came to help them? What they thought and what they felt when their best friends and defenders were killed? What they ate, did they sleep? These are just some issues on which you'll find out the answers of the participants of the Battle of Vukovar. 1st episode: Tank Cemetary 1 ------------ The first episode says about the last days before the occupation and the fall of Vukovar, and then displays the ceremony lineup on the 15th annual anniversary of the 204th Vukovar Brigade, 25th September 2006. in Vukovar. We will see archival images showing the last days before the occupation and the occupied city. The following are images from tank hangar in Gašinci where the majority of surviving veterans of the Trpinjska road gathered to fully view the amateur images taken with the 18th September 1991. The images show the defenders of Trpinjska road and a large number of destroyed tanks, a recording was commented by the defenders themselves. Vidjet ćemo kako je organizirana obrana jednog od glavnih dijelova Vukovara, Borova naselja, u kojem se nalazi slavna Trpinjska cesta. Sve točke obrane Borova naselja prikazane su kroz borbe i djela ljudi koji su branili grad, a samim time i Hrvatsku. Serija je snimana na autentičnim lokacijama u Vukovaru i Borovu naselju, kao i u ostalim gradovima Hrvatske i inozemstvu gdje žive branitelji Vukovara. Vidjet ćemo i obilje još neprikazanih arhivskih snimaka, iz različitih izvora. Kako je organizirana obrana? Kako su doživjeli prvi susret s tenkovima? Tko im je došao pomoći? O čemu su razmišljali i što su osjećali kad im je poginuo najbolji prijatelj i suborac? Što su jeli, jesu li spavali? Ovo su samo neka pitanja na koja ćete odgovore saznati od sudionika vukovarske bitke. 1. epizoda: Prva epizoda govori o zadnjim danima prije okupacije i pada Vukovara, a zatim prikazuje svečano postrojavanje u povodu obilježavanja 15. godine osnivanja 204. vukovarske brigade, održano 25. rujna 2006. u Vukovaru. Vidjet ćemo arhivske snimke koje prikazuju zadnje dane prije okupacije i samu okupaciju grada. Slijede snimke iz tenkovskog hangara u Gašincima gdje se okupila većina preživjelih branitelja Trpinjske ceste kako bi u cijelosti pogledali amaterske snimke snimljene 18. rujna 1991. Snimke prikazuju branitelje Trpinjske ceste i velik broj uništenih tenkova, a snimku komentiraju sami branitelji. Uz branitelje na arhivskim snimkama u emisiji sudjeluju i Tomislav Jakovljević, Ante Jurić, Marko Babić, Josip Kulaš, Boško Vukušić, Ivica Kuća, Milan Budimir, Damir Ninčević i dr.
