Saitou Story Mode Saitou & Okita Souji vs 12 Samurais/20 Samurais It is nice to fight along side Okita, but there is one problem when you have an ally. The problem is that sometimes the enemies that are facing Okita, turn around and attack you, however this only happens if you are near then, so to solve this problem all you have to do is stay away. In the first fight, it is near impossible for Okita to die. In the second, it is possible, but this will only happen if all spawned samurais goes after him, so for you to take the atention of them, without the risk of a sudden attack, use his Long/Gatotsu First Stance(during lock on, direction + /\) and dash away, if they don't go after you, just repeat.
