Leksell Stereotactic System Fitting - Designed for easy, versatile, and fast operation Frame fixation to the patient's head is easily achieved with adjustable fixation posts and self-tapping screws. A variety of exchangeable front pieces afford maximum flexibility, both with regard to access to the patient's nose and mouth, and in terms of frame positioning. After the frame's fixation, images are taken for preoperative planning. This is easily performed as Leksell Stereotactic System® is compatible with all types of imaging modalities. CT, MR, X-ray, DSA or PET localization may be performed with the same frame in any sequence. The adapter ensures that the patient's head is comfortably supported throughout the scanning procedure. CT and MR scans are made parallel to the frame providing maximum reproducibility.
