Tried Bonnie in a dutch gag today, on the 'top ring' so it gave hardly any poll pressure, but with great results! I think Bonnie might like this kind of mouthpiece better (it was a french link) because she was actually coming back to me rather than resisting! I had originally planned to only do about 105cm gridwork but she was being so good we put the back part up to 120cm. She did that perfectly, so I thought why not try something bigger. It wasn't the most stylish jump (we got a little close :S) but she still cleared it - 137cm or 4ft 5. :D That's our new record! All my critics should note that each part was added in one at a time, and the height was increased gradually. Not everything was caught on video. Also, notice my 'folding' is improving. :) In conclusion, new bit + martingale = much improved stopping/holding back ability. Hickstead, here we come! :D And thank you very muchly to Julia (for videoing) and Robyn (for taking pictures with her shiny new camera!). I heart you both.
